Last month The Antlers’ multi-instrumentalist Darby Cicci revealed his side project School of Night, released the somber heartbreak jam “Lying”, and announced there was more to come. For those that dig mellow synth pop imbued with feelings, “Fire Escape”, another cut from the forthcoming self-titled EP is here. “Fire Escape” is probably the closest School of Night will come to an out and out sex jam while still retaining that melancholy air. Which sounds a bit weird I suppose. No one’s into sad sex music but School of Night really owns it in a way that makes you reconsider.
School of Night’s debut EP is out October 15th on Darby Cicci’s Minus Green Music.

Oh man, this is sweet. I love those electric insect sounds with the slow jams. The art work is cool too. I’ll have to check these guys out. Thanks for posting!
