Young Buffalo have come a long way from the humble demos we first heard in 2009, and it shows on this new track, “Nature Boy”, taken from their upcoming self-titled EP (out Oct. 9th on Votiv):
This is exactly what their first standouts “Catapillah” and “New Beat” promised: ferociously paced, masterfully compact pop songs littered with afro-pop earmarks and a frenetic, danceable buoyancy. I’ve always had high hopes for this band and it’s nice to see them get into a rhythm that suits them so well. Here’s to the future, their new EP and beyond!
