Back in April, I discovered a promising and eclectic new act called Alligator Indian. The group, based out of Asheville, NC aka the San Fran of the South, intrigued me with their percussion poppin’ meets dual vocal singing jam “Prospect Park”. The band just sent me over their new LP to try on for size and although it jumps all over the place in terms of style, their experimentation really clicks on some tracks. Take, for instance, new tune “Dark Fruit” that delivers a church organ, spooky vibe with percussive pop about four minutes in:
If the “Dark Fruit” is too dark for your tastes, lighten up with a more upbeat remix.
