[MP3] Alligator Indian: “Prospect Park”

 [MP3] Alligator Indian: Prospect Park

My favorite way to find new music? When it just magically appears in front of your face out of thin air. That’s essentially what happened when I stumbled across Alligator Indian this afternoon. It was one of those moments where you’ve clicked so many hyper links and opened so many new tabs that I have no idea where I started, so down the audible rabbit hole I traveled. After checking relevant sources and hearing some other tunes, the jam that originally perked my ears wasn’t popping up on the regular so let’s change that ASAP because I think it’s their best track.

Alligator Indian – Prospect Park

“Prospect Park”, aside from making me giddy about summertime in Brooklyn (minus scorching heatwaves from hell), is a minimalist tune thriving off the strengths of female vocals that eventually end up complimenting a crooning set of male pipes. It’s got an echoing build that ricochets all over the places, giving off a weird vibe of star-crossed lovers mixed with juvenile Animal Collective. Yeah, I’m totally liking my own post as soon as I publish this one. More tunes here and a trippy video for “Prospect Park” after le jump.
