Brother-sister duo Nic and Eliza (couldn’t find a last name), a.k.a. KNOX, make some pretty enlightened tunes of the meditative, airy variety… and while I’m normally not big on music with ambient leanings, “Long, Long” is really hard to ignore:
Opening with lulling, breathy, ghostly vocal drones isn’t usually the best way to grab hold of a listener but here it’s just odd enough, or just properly measured, that by the time the verses open up, you’re hooked. It’s a little unfair to focus on “Long, Long”, the fourth and final track on KNOX’s To Rush, Roar and Murmur EP, out of context from the first three tracks, so you should head to the duo’s bandcamp page to listen to the EP in full and download it (pay what you want).
KNOX have a new track coming soon, according to their tumblr. We’ll keep you posted.
