![django django [MP3] Django Django: Hail Bop](http://www.iguessimfloating.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/django-django.jpeg)
Though I don’t often listen to my friends about music (because I’m a snob), this one came highly recommended about five times from as many people. I don’t know much about Django Django, only that they’re British and that their self-titled debut dropped in late January. Everything else, just like Hale-Bopp, is a mystery:
Is there some evil dance off about to happen? Are the Ninja Turtles dance-battling Shredder to a cheesy, crispy, sauce-optional death? Of course this song has nothing to do with pizza, or ninjas, or Thriller or even the Comet Hale-Bopp. But what it lacks in clarity of message is a shadow of what it offers in groovy plunder. This song is impossibly catchy and it’s been stuck in my head all day. And now I really want pizza. And I might just watch the early nineties Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy. Thanks, Django Django.

It just fascinates me how much Django resonates in popular culture…He is almost like a Beatle in some sense. And while this is good, I do wonder how much Django’s music really means to those who reference him (though for all I know, Django Django are huge fans of his)…anyway, I don’t mean to lecture, I am just a random big dumb guy. But my mother (who actually met Django Reinhardt and yes I will tell the whole story to anyone who wants to know) turned me on to some Django records years ago, and if you don’t have any – go get some…Dude was an unreal musician..
