[MP3] CSLSX & I Break Horses: Violent Sea

Philly dance romancers CSLSX just released a collaboration with Swedish indie-pop group I Break Horses, goes a lil something like this:

CSLSX & I Break Horses – Violent Sea

A lot of people will call this chillwave but damned if it doesn’t sound exactly like trip hop from the 90s, like Enya and Enigma, or even Air’s early work, or even M83′s early 2000′s stuff. I can’t really tell what’s going on, or what’s being said, or really much more than the high pitched synths and the drum beat… But dammit, I can’t really ignore it either. Am I justifying liking this by differentiating it from chillwave when it is, in fact, pretty chill and wavy? Does this make me a bad person? Or can a good person have bad taste every once in a while? Or am I being too judgmental? Somebody?

Just imagine yourself in a small cabin on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean in Nova Scotia. You live with your soulmate in this cabin and your love is eternalized by the natural light the pours through the windows onto the natural wood floors. You have a speaker system throughout the whole cabin and you play the music constantly as these memories are made. This is how i decide whether i like certain music or not.
