[MP3 Premiere] Capybara: “Neighbor Crimes”

Just received info, news, and brand new tunes from Kansas City’s Capybara. I knew nothing about the band before last week, although I did know the Capybara is the largest rodent in the world thanks to my Discovery Channel dork factor taking full effect. There’s nothing pesky about this rockin’ rodent band but you can definitely say they share the same quirkiness as their animal kingdom brethren. Crafting a sound as serene as the eerie mist lofted above the rainforest canopy, they make sure to take your ears to the forest floor where they’re bound to hear some crazy, colorful noises.

The melodies in this track have a musk all their own and the guitar versus keys dichotomy are played pitch perfectly. I can’t wait to hear the rest of their new LP, Dave Drusky, dropping in a few weeks via The Record Machine.
