[Listen] Bon Iver ☢ James Blake: “Fall Creek Boys Choir”

Update: the Youtube stream info includes “Enough Thunder – Oct 2011″… get those rumor mills flowing because we might have some sort of EP/LP to look forward to in October…

The recently announced James Blake x Bon Iver collaboration is now available for your listening pleasure (or pain, depending on your mood). It’s called “Fall Creek Boys Choir” and it goes a little something like this:

These sort of collaborations usually tend to drift towards one of the artist’s styles or sounds, with the other providing vocals… but this actually does an incredible job of merging their two styles for the first few minutes, and even brings in the more over-the-top soft-rock elements of Bon Iver’s latest album. It’s not really spectacular in my opinion but definitely worth exploring.

LOVE IT. But Justin could put Auto Tune to the phone book and I’d praise it to the moon. SO I’m a little biased ;)

I’ve got a copy of his version of the entire World Book series if you’re interested.
