Spanish Prisoners – Rich Blood

I like new music and I love finding gems, call me a sonic spelunker in an endless quest through the expansive IGIF caverns with little more than the dim glow of an iPod LED duct taped to my forehead. I often (blindly) bang my shins and stub my toes, but tripping over true gems makes all the bruises worthwhile. Spanish Prisoners, a band we featured as an mpFree in 2009, have a new LP titled Gold Fools dropping soon and their tune “Rich Blood” is fantastic. It immediately transports me to a breezy field with the light fuzz of cicadas buzzing and fireflies flittering – dreamy, melodic, and watch out for the hook at the 1:05 mark!
