[MP3] Dumbo Gets Mad: “Plumy Tale”

Dumbo Gets Mad [MP3] Dumbo Gets Mad: Plumy Tale

Italy is home to terrific things like fine wine, savory pasta, and legendary art. It’s also home to a television show like nothing else on planet earth, Italian Spiderman. I’m sure there is plenty of great music hiding in Italy too, and if they all sound as good as Dumbo Gets Mad then it’s time to seek them out.

[MP3] Dumbo Gets MadPlumy Tale

Hello 1970, you sound so good! “Plumy Tale” is quite the dosage of retro psychedelia, with shrilling organs, driving bass lines, and ragged drums. It’s not a track that will break boundaries and create new genres, but it’s a solidly structured gem that kicks off with an intro featuring sax and builds to a lush chorus of “la la la” all too easy to get lost in. With so many blips and fuzzy bleeps, I’m sold on this Italian solo act and can’t wait to hear what he does next.

While he finishes up his debut EP, check out his limited MySpace and be sure to watch the retro video matching the music perfectly after the jump.
