[MP3] new Candy Claws: "Silent Time of Earth"

candyclaws [MP3] new Candy Claws: "Silent Time of Earth"

Good things come to those who wait? The proverbial saying is definitely proving its worth to young Coloradan dream-pop outfit Candy Claws. It was back in August of last year when I stumbled upon their debut LP In The Dream of Sea Life and was subsequently floored by their sound, so much so they were an act IGIF likes to deem Hypeworthy.

After all of yesterday’s Twitter hoopla about the indie hype process, it appears as if said machine is well oiled and firing on all cylinders. I don’t plan on waxing poetic about the process or formulating some indie-lectual theory, but the proof is in some mighty tasty pudding. Chris became a fan of Candy Claws this morning and Pitchfork was soon to add them to their playlist. Rightfully so, “Sunbeam Show” is an excellent track and “Silent Time of Earth” stands as one of my favorites from Hidden Lands.

Maybe it is a process, who knows? Either way, Candy Claws are a fine group of young musicians deserving of all the exposure they get. I seriously suggest checking out their upcoming LP Hidden Lands – out August 4th via Two Syllable Records.
