A fellow Kentuckian and writer for We Listen For You, Zach Hart, recently directed a video for Louisville-local band The Pass. While I’m not a huge fan of the band and tend to think there isn’t much separating their sound from others occupying similar sonic space, Hart tells me they just had their DIY debut professionally mixed by Alex Aldi (Passion Pit, The Walkmen, Tokyo Police Club). The video, however, is nicely put together and showcases the fun effects of reverse animation.

I think the song is pretty great. Agreed that it sounds a little like the Killers or Phoenix, but I enjoyed it.
I liked the song too, but I doubt I would have listened to the whole thing if it hadn't been for that cool video.
band is just terrible…Killers wanna-bes at best.
Love The Pass!
The Pass is the best! While similar in sound to the killers, the songs are more complex and satisfying, both musically and lyrically. And in person, they're electrifying!
