[mpFree] Ezra Furman & The Harpoons’ Banging Down The Doors

If there’s one thing we love here at IGIF, it’s free music. Because sometimes we can’t afford the music we love. Sometimes all a band cares about is making their music available to anyone and everyone. Sometimes people realize there’s more to music than record deals and sales figures. We love when this happens.

In lieu of recent events in the music industry, including primarily Radiohead’s decision to give away their new album, we believe there will be a growing trend of releasing essentially free music. Therefore, we’ve decided to create a new feature called mpFree that will highlight album releases on the interweb (full LPs and EPs mostly) that you can download entirely for free, guilt free. We’ve wrote about this sort of thing in the past, but now we’re going to make it a semi-regular feature, with more posts coming as more free album downloads become available.
