I’ve been amassing a very large Modest Mouse collection over the years, some songs of which are really rare, at least they seem to be. Anyways, it occurred to me that a lot of people may not have them and a lot of them are actually really good (shocker, huh?). A couple of these tracks are off high school demos and the others are from odds and ends of Isaac recording since high school. Enjoy them.

Of course, Ugly Casanova is the Sub-Pop side project of Isaac and there are a few B-Sides floating around from when he recorded that album a year or two ago. Here is one, that is really good and originally was intended to be a Modest Mouse song.

Did Modest Mouse go M.I.A.? There hasn’t been much news coming from the Northwestern band, other than that they won’t be touring for awhile (sucks) in order to get another album recorded (rocks). Frontman Isaac Brock has been busy with his new record label, Glacial Pace which signed Mason Jennings not too long ago, expect a release in the coming months.

i found this on a random google search. i wanted to hear all those songs, but only Nothin New would work. any way you can get the others working?
i also could only get nothing new to work, i would love to hear the others, is there a cd with all their rare stuff on it?
i actually do have a cd with “b-side tracks on it. I got it from a friend of a friend and i dont know the names of any of the tracks. Its pretty sweet though.

Mitch Hedberg quote on a Modest Mouse forum. You obviously have very good taste in comedy and music.. But seriously, it is a pretty annoying tease to have these rare tracks listed but nonfunctional.

What kind of quality do you have it in. .flac or any lossless format?
