Hey guys, back again. So apparently ’tis the season for every MP3 blog in the world to construct a list of the best albums of the year…and yes, I read most of them and take from them whatever they’re worth, usually not much…but sometimes I find a few gems that I overlooked, some intentionally (i.e. The New Pornographers, Vashti Bunyan, Devendra Banhart, and others) and some that I completely spaced on. One of these is Patrick Wolf, whose mid-March release made Rock Insider’s 25 Best at #24. I checked it out, and I completely love it. I also find it hard to believe that no review I found commented on his name’s stark likeness to Andrew Bird. Anyway, here’s a few MP3s from Wind In The Wires:
Patrick Wolf – The Libertine (Highly Rec’d!)

wind in the wires is pretty good. it reminds me off sufjan steven’s second release: chinese zodiac (with all the glitches and snythy ish). but indeed, i am excited about patrick wolf.
damn straight it made my list. I bought the album and it did not leave me car stereo for 2 months. I play the violin and something about writing the entire record on viola make me go girlie psycho fan like p.wolf was a backstreet boy. Love him :)
