I’m sure most people are familiar with the news about Jenny Lewis, frontgirl of Rilo Kiley, recording and releasing a solo album. Her debut album, Rabbit Fur Coat is scheduled for release on January 24 through Connor Oberst‘s imprint label Team Love. As sort of an early Christmas present, Ms. Lewis was able to schedule and release dates for her first ever solo tour:
02.02.06 – Los Angeles, CA (Vista Theatre)
02.03.06 – San Francisco, CA (Swedish American Hall)
02.05.06 – New York, NY (Angel Orensanz Foundation)
Those dates are due to be “record release” type of shows, with a proper tour following sometime in the near future. Have yourself a listen to a few of the tracks of her album, as always they remain very catchy and charming.

Handle With Care was originally recorded by The Traveling Wilburys (consisting of the likes of Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, George Harrison, etc.), here she receives the help from M. Ward and none other than Postal Service pal Ben Gibbard.
I’m sure this solo release will only further her title of dream girl for every indie boy worldwide.
