Like YANP, like MOKB, like everyone, I’m just now getting into Goldspot (thanks to Jax). Actually, I think they’re becoming my new favorite band. My new favorite. Maybe… They’ve got that spirit of a band that has SO much potential, energy, and beauty. They’re the “new car smell” of music right now…and I love it. As for the ‘genre’ or maybe where they would place among the indie giants…I don’t really know yet…I can see them being the next Killers, I can see them sticking true to the indie underground, and I can see them wallowing in indie obscurity…we’ll have to wait and see. Unfortunately, they don’t have an east coast tour planned for a while, so until then, here are a few mp3′s to hold you over.

Im sooo happy people are falling in love with this band. Tally of the yes man was one of the most uder appreciated albums of the year. sooo gorgeous. sid’s voice can make any bad day a good day.
Its become a ritual for me to listen to “Friday” as I get to work in the morning. Siiiigh makes me soo happy

Goldspot are the best! Hell Ya!
I had the pleasure of seeing these guys just recently at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. They have two new songs that will rock your socks! I’m once again blown away by their creativity an energy. If you havn’t been to a Goldspot show it’s a must!
