Happy New Year from us here at iGIF! I know I, for one, will not be on for the remainder of the night and probably won’t appear until late in the afternoon tomorrow. I’ll let you put the pieces of that puzzle together.
Regardless, New Years is a nice little celebration that usually is associated with happiness, but much like Valentine’s Day those feelings of happiness can quickly turn bitter. So, what better way to prevent that than some music that’ll make you happy.
The band you are about to listen to is running on a few years of experience and justifyable British success. The Bees, who go by A Band of Bees in the states due to some legal conflict, are attemping to make the transatlantic jump using elements of dance music, tropicalia, and Brit-PopRock. Their latest album, Free the Bees, is easily their best work to date – acting as an awesome follow-up to their debut album, Sunshine Hit Me. Both are very good albums and nicely Beatles-influenced, but all the music you’re going to sample is from their lastest album.
