Eveyone’s favorite musically-challenged geniuses, Animal Collective, had apparently at some point covered Nirvana, and proof in mp3 form has recently surfaced online. At first when I saw a link to their cover of On A Plain, I thought the poster was mistaking (somehow) Animal Collective for Rogue Wave, who also did a studio cover of the same song. Alas, I was wrong! Animal Collective covered both On A Plain and Polly (two of my favorite Nirvana songs):
